Hi!
My name is Iris de Vries - van der Meulen and in 2012 I graduated from ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design in Arnhem as a graphic designer.
After my graduation I started working at Creators Dock, where I designed lots of toy packaging (licensed and private label), cosmetics, identities and lots of other stuff! After 6 years I decided to leave and join the team at W&O Products, where I also designed license/non-license packaging, art & crafts, stationery and educational products. When I started working at W&O Products, I had the chance to expand my freelance work, where I design books, folders, logo's, cards, illustrations and many more! After W&O Products I started working at Dynamic Products Factory for 5 years where I could really go wild with (private label and seasonal) craft products and packaging. In 2023 a new adventure started for me at Cultura as a marketeer, where I can combine design and marketing for the cultural field.
In my free time I like to make illustrations, graphic design, books and cards (also scrapbooking). I always look around for inspiration, keep myself updated with the market (whats is new and which trends are hot?). So when designing I can keep this in the back of my head and anticipate on it when a design needs to be commercially attractive for a certain group. I also like to watch series, anime, listen to music, play games (online) and board/card games. I'm also a huge Zelda lover (The Legend of Zelda) and always in for a fun Super Smash Bros. fight, Mario Party or Mario kart. Oh yes, I have also played World of Warcraft for quite some time :D
